In developing this Sputnik semi flush mount, we have drawn inspiration from Starbursts, Dandelions, and Hydrangeas. The metal rods on the Sputnik fixture are the roots of Dandelions or Hydrangeas. The uneven pieces of Glass not only simulate blooming Dandelion and Hydrangea bouquets, but also perfectly reproduce the fast-growing stars during a Starburst.

We are overall happy with this purchase. While it initially felt a bit small for the price point, the size has since grown on us. The build quality is decent, and it looks good in our room. My only reservation is the metal finish; the band has a distinct orange hue rather than the subtle, sophisticated brass shown in the product images.
