What better way to help provide shelter to our feathered friends than by providing them with shelter from the elements - our rustic Parkwood bird nesting box will help do just that. With an altogether more natural look. The diameter of the entrance hole is roughly 30mm so perfect for those small garden birds. A small porch completes the nest box. There's a metal hoop to the rear of the nest box, allowing it to be easily sited.

More than ever, wild birds need our gardens, and the provision of a safe place to nest, away from predators yet near to a food source is vital. This traditional wooden birdhouse is sturdy and built to last and features a removable base so that it can be cleaned after the hatchlings have flown the nest. These wooden bird boxes are built without a perch to deter predators with a 3cm hole and a discreet natural finish. The wood is 15mm thick for optimum insulation and features a hanging insert in the base so it can be positioned where necessary in the garden.

These bird roosting pouches are great to help protect the smaller wild birds from bad weather and the elements. With 2 different styles to accommodate a wider selection of birds, these pouches are favoured by small wild bird species who value the protection offered by the enclosed space, as well as the warmth from the woven material. Easy to hang wherever required, these pouches look fun dotted about the garden and are hand made from natural materials.

I liked these, my aviary birds shredded them very quickly.. Melanie. St. Austell, GB. Fri Aug 02 2024

This handcrafted bumblebee house to encourage beneficial insects into your garden. This solitary bee and wasp house provides the ideal nesting habitat for many of the over 200 species of solitary bee found in the UK. Solitary bees hardly ever sting people. They lay their eggs in the tubes which are sealed in with a parcel of food made from either cut leaves or mud. The eggs change to larvae and then pupae which hatch out into new bees the following spring. Ideally, insect houses should be located on a South, South East or South-West facing wall, fence or tree trunk in a sheltered position close to, but not obscured by, vegetation. This insect house was designed in collaboration with the UK's leading insect charity - Buglife.

I am actually using this stood on the floor as part of a fairy garden display at my pre- school. It is lovely and exactly as advertised.. Esther. Winchester, GB. Thu Nov 29 2018
