My new pot does not drip. Makes enough espresso for three to four large mugs of cappuccino which I use during the day. It stays fresh till its heated with the milk for the next cup. It makes far superior coffee to the purchased brews from coffee shops and at a much better price. The taste is smooth and not bitter. I even like the metal handle which has not melted or got loose because the flame was too high. This pot is PERFECT! WAY TO GO ALDO! Your my man.. Coffee Addict.. Doylestown Pa Usa. Sun May 30 2010

The Ovale collection strives to be original, but it also wants to be rustic and traditional. We set out in pursuit of delicate expression. This composition speaks about everyday life, about breakfast, and lunch, and about everyone getting together for dinner. There is a desire for simplicity. (Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec)

This design reveals an awareness of the rituals of the table that is very open to the evolution of contemporary living, with its playful aspect and its amenability to rearranging the composition of the pieces on the table, as well as its philosophy of change in general. Each object contains another, and each piece can stand freely beside the others, like a welcoming stack of petals.

Designed by Michel Boucquillon and Donia Maaoui, the Bark collection was inaugurated in 2015 with the namesake centerpiece. The designers drew their inspiration from their home, Casa Boucquillon, a place for experimentation, meditation, and work where they live in sync with nature. The perforated pattern of the Bark range recalls the bark on the trees around the house. The result is a strongly poetic collection where every individual object proves to be, either in shape or in function, in continuous and harmonious dialogue with nature.

Somehow, the set of stainless plate ware we purchased when we were first married was missing 5 dinner forks. I searched on the Internet for forks that were as good or better and this set of 6 Mami dinner forks meets the bill. They are beautiful and my wife will be pleasantly surprised for Christmas.. The design is softened by formal elements such as the light flare of the containers or the line of the handles reminiscent of ribbons pinned to a dress, which becomes a distinctive feature of the entire cookware line.

The Dry cutlery set marks Alessi's debut in cutlery production. Despite gloomy initial forecasts from Alessi's own employees, it has amply demonstrated that the iconic and innovative force of its form, together with exceptional tactile pleasure in its use and an excellent finish, are a lot more important to the public than many long-held market prejudices would have us believe.

A great little frying pan - as are all the pans in the Pots and Pans range from Alessi. Great transfer of heat and nice, solid well made pieces with a great slightly retro look. On the first few uses we ended up with some brown stains but these easily came off with bicarbonate of soda. I'm expecting mine to last for years to come.. Kate Horrocks. London, Greater London. Salad bowl in white porcelain with relief decoration. The table set was designed by Marcel Wanders. Traditionally, the rules would require that decoration be applied in the most important and most visible areas of the object. Wanders, on the other hand, applies it to secluded areas, a little out of sight, sometimes even in areas that aren?t normally visible at all, so much so that we could call it a sort of introverted decoration. In this way, even though he uses a language of signs that is very rich and complex, a bit flowery, a little baroque, Wanders manages to maintain a certain level of overall elegance and lightness. The series is complete in every aspect of a typical place setting and is composed of Plates and Bowls, Cutlery, Glasses, Placemat, a Tray, and Glass and Bottle Coasters.

Designed between 1980 and 1983, this coffee maker began life as an evolution of the “Tea and Coffee Piazza” project, which saw famous architects taking up the challenge of designing a tea and coffee service. It was Rossi's first mass-produced design, and its strongly iconic image earned it immediate success for the then-new Officina Alessi brand, as well as becoming an 1980s design symbol.

Crafted from stainless steel with two handles, this low casserole dish is a must-have addition to any kitchen.

The oval basket, designed by Pierre Charpin, on the other hand, whose use is so evident, is an essential part of our domestic landscape both in the kitchen and in the sitting room, a presence that reminds us of an ancient, pre-industrial past, bringing back the old “gallery trays” trays from the 18th and 19th century to mind.

In the cutlery set, a twist originates from the point where the handle transforms into a blade and graduates along the length of the utensils. The ergonomic silhouette that is created by gradual transformation effects a dynamic motion frozen in solid material and presents a balance between the modern and the classical.
