Willems Single (3') Standard Bunk Bed and Mattress with Trundle

Unsafe bed, had to return a year later. The bottom bunk fell through, having assessed, it seems on one side the slats screw into a beam that is already fully stapled onto the side of the bed by the manufacturer. On the other side you have to screw that beam onto the side of the bed yourself, then nail the slats on top but as you can see from the picture, the screws to screw the beam onto the side of the bed are not long enough, and so the beam with the slats on had slipped down, meaning that side of the bed fell through when my step daughter rolled over. Thank god it was not the top bunk as it could have caused injury but the top bunk is put together the same. My step daughters only sleeps every other weekend as well or I’m sure this would have happened sooner. I did receive a full refund as it was in warranty but I had to dismantle it and package it up myself, I also had to pay for packaging, before they would collect it and issue the refund. Such a shame as barely any beds like this on the market but I wouldn’t risk it. Unless they address this issue had have that beam fitted to the side of the bed by the manufacturer like it is on the other side it’s totally unsafe and should be taken off sale.
