New York Metal Frame Bed

Really nice bed. Clips to hold the slats broke on one and replacement bed took a while to come. However once I received the replacement I haven’t looked back!

Really disappointed - very poor quality construction including exposed sharp edges, gaps and ugly spot-welding. Would have given zero stars if that were an option.

Lovely bed, the red is a lovely colour. The delivery wasn’t great though, not had that issuing when ordering in the past, so must have been a blip.

When building the frame, the holes don't line up properly making it a very frustrating process, it's do able but I spent a lot of time cross threading screws. More upsetting is the fact that the slats are not quite long enough so they fall out daily (the bed is used by a small 7 year old, it's not a weight issue). Every day the mattress has to come off and the slats be rehoused in the black plastic clips, 2 of which have broken through frequent removal.

Great looking bed, a few little flaws with the welded joints but not too noticeable. They just look a bit untidy. Looks lovely in my daughters new room. A couple of negatives- the bed is too long for a single mattress so there a a gap at the bottom. I’ve had to fill with pillows and cover with the duvet. The wooden slates don’t hold the mattress particularly well either and it seems to fall between the gaps in the slates . Luckily my five year old isn’t that heavy as I would guess that if she was it could prove to be uncomfortable to sleep on. So overall, nice looking bed but practically it’s not great.
