Assembly, however, requires some patience and the right tools. The included instructions arent very clear, and several of the screw holes arent pre-drilled. Trying to put this together with a standard hand screwdriver would be a real challenge—using a power drill is practically essential to get through the setup smoothly. She spends a lot of time in her kitchen preparing meals for the family. I love the kitchen also. It is the perfect size for the house and it is well constructed. It is made of fairly thin wood but once assembled it is very strong. Assembly was a breeze, using the very simple, easy to follow instructions. All the parts fit together perfectly and really liked how the fasteners were packaged separately and labeled. The only problem is the salt shaker is somewhat rounded on the bottom so it doesn’t sit flat on the shelf. Also one of the screw holes was stripped out and the screw would not tighten. Putting it together was actually really simple for such a detailed kitchen. At first, we tried to use our hands to put in the screws but it was difficult. We pulled out our electric screw driver and it was really fast and easy. I definitely recommend having one of those to put this together. When I say it’s simple to put together, it means a lot as I do not enjoy putting things together. Let’s just say we don’t shop at Ikea. After we put the entire kitchen together, our 2 kids played on it for hours. Every day since we got it, they have played with it every single day. The stove makes a cool little sound and there’s so much detail in this kitchen play set. My son will cook the food and then my daughter will be right next to him in the play sink area cleaning his dishes. I love how they are learning to cook food and then cleaning up after themselves. It’s also a great height for my little ones as they are not very tall. I feel like this kitchen playset is both fun and educational for my kids. I highly recommend this kitchen playset to everyone who has little ones. They will enjoy and play on their own for hours so us parents can have some free time to do other things.
