It is good and high and sturdy what I was looking for . But it came with 3 steps which can be a bit tricky. I am going to send email if I can have 4 steps for ladders. It can with 2 brackets but it was quite wobbly for my daughter who is 11. So I need to ask someone put another 2 brackets so it doesn’t move at all not sure if it happened because of carpet.. First time ordering from wayfair parcel boxes arrived on different days and looked to be opened but when chrcked all parts were there. This design is made by strictly beds and bunks a uk based supplier which we have used 3 times now. Bed is sturdy and each bed takes 20stone but we have tested previous beds beyond these limits and they still stood strong. It loosed a star for the poor instructions which have general instructions for multiple styles of beds and it is tricky to figure out from the poor quality photos. At times they do not state which fixings are to be used which made the process of building he bed lengthy. Some of the wood was not the best quality but it won't affect the overall use. MY 8 year is delighted and my 15year is happy enough since his head doesnt hit he bunk when he sits up. Will continue to buy beds made from them.. Anonymous. Thu Oct 03 2024

The bed itself is lovely and my little boy loves it. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. However, it took longer than the recommended time on the instructions for 2 people to put together. This was because of 2 main factors. 1) The feet that the drawers and the shelves sit on are made from solid wood and each 1 (there were 12 in total) required a wooden dowel and a screw to fit it into place. Fine in itself but there was only a hole in the solid wood for the dowel. We had to physically screw the screws into the wood with no holes to guide it in or make it easier. It took forever and resulted in blisters on the palms of our hands. 2) As with the feet the bed slats also needed to be screwed into place. There were holes in the slats to do this but not in the wood they needed to be screwed into, so we were screwing into solid wood again. It required a lot of strength to do this. Once assembled (after 2 days) the bed is sturdy and looks great. It was supposed to come with a clip on shelf which is clearly shown on the image and WAS listed in the features. However it was not included. When I phoned to inquire about the missing clip on shelf, I was told although it was in the picture there was nothing in the features to suggest it was included. I pointed the lady in the right direction but she still insisted it was my error. She eventually agreed to contact the warehouse for me and said she would be in touch on the Tuesday (I called the Sunday before a bank holiday Monday). On the Tuesday I did not hear from her and I noticed that the shelf had been removed from the product features. I called back and spoke to a lovely lady who assured me that I was correct and that there should have been a shelf included and that she would rectify the situation. She contacted the warehouse for me and said she would let me know the outcome - unfortunately she didn't hear by the time she thought she would so I didn't hear from her. We have received email correspondence stating firstly the shelf shouldn't be included and offers of a small refund, then again saying that the warehouse need to give them the code for the shelf so they can ship it. More recently apparently the shelf is not in stock until August and we can either wait or have a refund - this time twice as much as the initial amount offered (£60) We have opted to wait til August - I want the shelf. The features now clearly states that the clip on table, not shelf as originally advertised is not included. For this I am not happy - Wayfair must this I am uneducated idiot who cannot read, this is a red rag to a bull for an English teacher who makes a living out of teaching people to read. Coincidentally there is another Jodi Single High Sleeper Bed with Storage for exactly the same price that still says it includes the clip on shelf. Wayfair might want to change this too. As well as all the other Jodi Single High Sleepers that include this feature (which is pretty much all of them), just in case they make this blunder again. For the bed itself I would give it 4 stars, ease of putting together and service received it can only get 2 stars. If the matter had been sorted when I first contacted them about this then it would have reflected better. But to be fobbed off so many times I am afraid my review must reflect this.. Mrs.. Both my boys really love their new beds, the reason for me giving it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because one of the mattresses came with a hole in it not a massive one, but enough to notice it. All in all it's a good solid bunk bed. The wood is good quality.. Anonymous. Thu Aug 06 2020
