Giuseppa 70cm H x 103.5cm W Standard Bookcase

Ordered for my bedroom unit was delivered 31 May and left outside my house - my neighbour lifted it inside for me as the bookcase is very heavy. Today my son came to carry it upstairs and build it for me - when he opened the box he found three of the panels were damaged with cracks right across two of the larger panels and another crack across the corner of a short piece. One of the cracks in the larger piece was across the centre where the dowels go and he would not construct the bookcase as he feared that it would damage it further. I could not carry the box upstairs myself nor even move it - I am 70 years old and suffer badly from arthritis - hence the delay in finding out that the bookcase is damaged. What can you do for me I have spent nearly £100 on a very faulty item discovered today 30 July 2023. I am a widow on a fixed pension and cannot afford to lose this amount of money. Had my son not been working away for a couple of months this would have been discovered within the period allowed for returning the item. However, I want you to arrange for the bookcase to be collected from me for a full refund as it is not fit for purpose. My photographs are not brilliant but are attached

This bookcase doesn’t fit any of my books when they’re standing only when they lie flat. Not good for storage at all

Looks nice but don’t buy it if you actually want to store a standard book. All the shelves are too small to actually fit my books upright

Difficult to assemble and final article wobbles and has gaps. I like the look of it but would have preferred to spend more to get better quality. If this doesn't fall apart in the first year I'll be surprised
