This is the worse piece of furniture I have ever seen. The top self of the book case has 6 screw in full view and also has hole and no way to cover them. I can't believe anyone would accept this as a finish. When I try to return it they want £40 to return a product which is not fit for purpose

We bought these shelves to act as small floor shelves behind our sofa. Our expectation, as per the pictures on the website, was that it would have a clear top shelf - instead the top white shelf is full of holes and ends up showing the screws you need to assemble the product. I can see why this would be ok to hang on a wall but the pictures implied we could also use it on the floor… To add, the product was one of the most difficult items to assemble! The holes are not drilled well enough to easily screw, and require a lot of force to push in - which eventually leads to mini cracks around the screws as seen in the picture. Oh to add one of our screws came broken….so we are short one The product itself is sturdy but the assembly process of it has not been well thought out. Could act as an ok product when used on the wall, but be warned not easy to put together.

I bought the white/oak version of this product, and the late and unlamented MFI would surely have been embarrassed by it. The quality and appearance of this are well short of the appearance presented in the images, especially the three white shelves which are poor quality MDF with badly-milled holes and nothing provided to fill in the unused ones. The "oak" panels are not too bad. Assembly took a long time due to large allen screws and a small key. The screws are not recessed and protrude from surfaces however strenuously they are tightened. The top, which looked quite presentable on the web site, has six holes and six visible screws; surely it should have been better than this? I'm attaching a picture. I will keep the unit for now as I can't face dismantling it again, or being seen with it in the post office, and maybe I will find a presentable surface I can fit over the top. Meanwhile it holds a few small devices successfully, or at least distracts the eye from them!

Lovely bookcase and goes perfectly with my other furniture. The only downside is the holes are visible as I’ve seen in other reviews. I have ordered some drill hole covers so all should be fine

Not impressed with this item at all it had screws missing and was scratched plus the bolts show
