You get what you pay for... the finish matches the other furniture we got but it's more plasticky. The components (cams, dowels etc) to build it weren't of great quality -- and there are a LOT of them. One of the top/bottom panels weren't pre-drilled on one side, luckily not a deal breaker and doesn't seem to affect the structural integrity. For understairs storage, overall satisfied with purchase. Speedy delivery
