Thick leather, strong so you can sit on it if needs be. Fits a fair bit in, mines in the living room and it’s perfect for what I needed it for!

I purchased 1 black and 1 white ottoman, and the white one takes the cake. The black one is fine, but I thought it would be a little "shinier", but no big deal. Absolutely no assembly required. Just take it out of the box and put it where you want! I was pleasantly surprised at the hinged lid and interior roominess. I purchased this ottoman when it had no reviews yet, but I predict there will be lots of 5 stars down the road, and am so pleased with them that I am getting another white one!
