Poor quality wood Had to sand it down and paint it as is was painted terrible

Great bed just ideal for a spare room. However I think they should make it clearer that mattresses are bought separately

I've ordered this for my daughter as a sort of luxury bed that can feel like a sofa to sit with friends etc. Good delivery, nice wood and quite easy to make (I did it alone) BUT the piece of wood at the top is very flimsy so I'd not allow my child (or anyone) to lean against it for fear of it breaking. I'm now paying a carpenter to attach more wood to the back so it's more solid and she can lean against it, which is the point. Also, the trundle was super easy to make, but because it isn't attached to anything. I assumed it would be on runners to pull out but it's simply a base that has little wheels and can be pulled out or put anywhere. Don't get me wrong, it's still handy, but it's a bit cheaper than I'd wanted. Some holes were not pre-drilled in the planks where the mattress goes, which was ok but it can split the wood, although luckily it didn't. So, overall I am happy enough to keep it, but it isn't as I had hoped and my daughter was sad when I made it clear she can't lean against the back unless I get extra wood put on.
