Absolute junk Pieces held together with poorly fitting dowels instead of structural materials to hold the unit together securely. It wobbles and is useless and unsafe. Wayfair junk

Came packaged well, and they are actually real wood which is nice. Unfortunately there is some sort of finish or oil on the bookcases with a really strong smell. The smell isn't 'bad', just really strong. The oil also made the number stickers fall off the parts, so it was a bit harder to put the shelves together. I have had an air purifier and an open window in the room for about 4 days now and the smell isn't really going away. I think my next step will be wiping down the shelves with a cleaner to remove the oil/finish? If the manufacturer or seller or someone could respond with any advice I would appreciate it, thanks! I noticed a different review about the bookcases being wobbly and the screws being weak. I think that they did not see that the screws are supposed to be further screwed in after being put into the hole. I also missed this the first time in the instructions and thought it was wobbly and weak, but then I realized it was user error and I hadn't tightened down the screws.
