I started assembling the unit and right off the bat, from the very beginning at step 1, we realised none of the holes in the boards were matching the holes in the metallic rails. I can't say anything but avoid buying this product as it is below mediocre.

Avoid. Mine arrived with a dent at a prominent spot (box intact) and screwholes inaccurately cut. Due to a family situation, assembling this wasn't a priority, then we missed the gEnErOuS 30 day support window (despite being able to prove that the faults are with the manifacturing). But that's a Wayfair problem. We'll live with it; it's only not worth it for the price.
