Novella 82.5cm W 6 - Drawer Chest of Drawers

I haven’t even had this chest of drawers a year yet and all the draws have collapsed on each other. Before they collapsed I could hear and feel the runners scratching and then it got to the point where when opening the drawers the runners snapped and fell off. When I was assembling the chest I know for a fact I screwed the runners on as tight as possible so it’s not a fact of the screws being too loose. As you can see from the photo the top has bowed, probably from my tv being sat on it but if it can’t take the weight of a tv then it’s obviously not that good quality or very sturdy. If I’d have known it was only going to last me 9 months I wouldn’t have got it, disappointed customer.

When it arrived we thought, surely theyve missed out a package it was so cleverly packed. Canny Danes! Building it requires separating out the bits and pieces, including putting screws etc into pots to make it easier to find everything. There are a lot of components but the instructions are quite easy to follow, if some illustrations a little small. Tips - ensure you do not overtighten the long black bolts as the aluminium locking nuts need to be able to dock and fully rotate. Also, ensure only one dowel inserted per drawer edge. They are very hard to remove! Luckily there were extras, if not many.

Holes not drilled out correctly and sections of wood had not been drilled out correctly - overall the quality was good but I had to re drill sections and parts of the wood looked like it was off cuts

Arrived earlier than I expected, the courier arrived spot on time. It has been quite straightforward to assemble once I got the hang of decoding the instruction pictures. Looking good so far.

Drawers don’t close properly, close them and they ping back open. Also it’s small and doesn’t fit much in but would be ok for a child
