As expected. Looked at all reviews, and understood what I was buying. Cheap, no frills but functional headboard which would be tricky to put together. Well, husband put it together on his own (little help from me when attaching top). As mentioned, instructions had labelled diagrams, but the actual wood didn't. So he figured it out and put his own letters on to make it easier. He wood glued the dowels for a little extra support, and the holes weren't 100% accurate. The metal things to connect the pieces together didn't tighten great so not mega closely pulled together. All in all though , happy with it and would recommend it for a cheap practical look..
