When I sit on it (with the mattress on top), the boards creak a little which makes me slightly nervous — though that could just be me being an anxious bean! Despite that, it feels sturdy and is made of lovely solid wood. The best part is how comfortable it is — my son loves it so much he keeps sneaking downstairs to sleep on it!
