It does the job, but feels quite flimsy, not super sturdy. The way the two sides interlock together causes the top left shelf to always sit at an angle, but not sure if that's the way it's meant to be or I did something wrong when assembling it. I keep it on the floor against a wall and have put a large load of books on it & it holds ok so far, but not sure if I'd trust it with anything heavy as a desktop bookcase.
