Harold Solid Wood Piece Bedroom Set

Flimsy, don’t buy. I’ve had to buy planed timber to support base and brace back

I love the wardrobes I ordered the wardrobe as part of a 4 piece set with a chest of drawers and 2 bedside tables. I then ordered another 3 door wardrobe and another 4 drawer chest of drawers and a Dressing table. The 2 x 3 door wardrobes arrived together which was good as I needed to replaces 2 items, the 1st item was a plastic sleeve that was damaged which holds the hardboard in place at the back of the wardrobe, and the centre door had a manufacturing fault at the bottom corner which looks like a machining fault. After getting in touch with wayfair the got in touch with the manufacturer who are in the process of replacing both parts. Both items have been replaced and I am a lot happier now that I have finished putting parts together. I must admit a long time ago I was an apprentice wood machinistCarpenter and every so many parts had to be inspected to make sure that the parts were fit for purpose but looking at some of the parts that I received were a very poor quality. Again this is a manufacturing issue. Just make sure you check parts closely for faults.

I found that the top section had damage on one corner, that had been partially repaired and not very well, see photos, also there is a weak spot where the wood splits quite easily due to the machining for the back board, I cut the thin piece of timber off to stop it splitting any more. See photos. Also the drawer edges where they are screwed together is a very thin wall section so I drilled pilot holes to stop them splitting. I will say that when it was brought to Wayfairs attention and they offered a discount or an exchange of part. I do not blame wayfair but the manufacturer.

It’s ok and looks good but was difficult to build because the many pieces of wood aren’t labelled. Some holes don’t align.

The instructions are unreadable which makes it impossible to put these together (I brought two) I wish id read honest reviews! The draws were easy to work out. The rest of it is still in bits on my bedroom floor. I wouldn’t even give them one star!
