I was so disappointed with this product. When we opened the box it was full of sawdust and shavings where the holes had been predrilled. No care was taken at production level. The shelves were covered in glue and the majority of the shelves had small chips. The bookcase is made of lots of small pieces meaning there are join lines everywhere. It’s not at all aesthetically pleasing. I would recommend you save your money and find a better product. I never write reviews but feel so strongly about how poor this product is I felt it important to comment.

I like this unusual bookcase/display unit. II would have given it 5stars but most of the pieces were marked in some way. Luckily not visible now its up.

I had the same issues that others have mentioned, sawdust in the packaging (which is easily dusted away), and a fair about of chips out of the pieces. Most of the chips aren't visible when built, but some of them are. It does feel surprisingly sturdy, which I didn't think it would part way through the build. It fits my purposes as a small bookcase hidden away in an alcove, but I certainly wouldn't want it anywhere more visible.

Very poor quality, lots of chips as per picture and wood has ‘scratch’ marks all over it and finger prints don’t wipe off easily. Do not buy this!!
