I bought this chair as a disability aid to help me in the kitchen. Its height adjustment is perfect for doing things in/around the sink or hob. The shape of the seat allows for easy navigation around. The shape does hurt my hips, but i knew this may be a part of the process of getting used to a differently shaped seat. My research suggests this will subside with time and use, and to take it slowly to adjust to a new seating position. The only significant shortcoming of this chair that I didnt anticipate is that it is top heavy. So, scooting about forwards can be difficult, as it seems to want to tip forward. I assume this is due to the base being quite small. I feel like, if it were wider, it would be solved. I have found that going backwards is fine and doesnt cause it to want to tip.
