Joy of joys, all three have snapped in the centre. The weight and size of the box , combined with inadequate protection has no doubt allowed just the tiniest flexing, leading to the damage. But why pack in two manageable boxes, when a single behemoth will do In as little as two week, the replacement parts will be at your door. Labelled with a different part code to the previous item. But that will add spice to the pleasure of building your unit. The plans! These were whipped up by 32 month old Jasmin just before her tea. Put two pieces together based on those plans. Both the correct parts, but upside down. Correct that error. Then attach the plans magnetically to your fridge, alongside those of the fruits of your loins. From this point use your own logic to build the tv unit. Note with admiration for the designer the cable inlets thoughtfully incorporated into the base. With masterful forethought there is no upward cable outlet into the tv itself. You have now overcome the build challenge and are ready for wall mounting. Aligning the unit to the wall requires the strength of Hercules, but never fear, the damaged board from the original delivery is a perfect template. Still into the wall, insert rawlplugs and begin in to mount the unit using the 4 70mm Allen key head screws. The metal is so soft that it will be impossible to fully insert the 4 screws. Think about the project at this point and employ instead 4 90 mm conventional screws. It will be clear to you that Jasmin was consulted about the mounting. There is no way that the 4 screws will support the weight. Another 4 with washers will however be enough. Finally you have what you ordered. But then note that there is a single top shelf and that the doors do not hide a second shelf, but simply shield a void. This item will provide you with years of satisfaction, in the knowledge that you have overcome overwhelming odds to get it into place. If you want one of these, order soon as Jasmin is due to retire at 12 years old, to fulfil her dream of becoming an underwater chess grand master. Or alternatively do the right thing and order something else.
