Prompt delivery, so that was good.
Unpacked glass top first and laid it carefully on the carpet to check - all OK.
Next unpacked legs and laid them on carpet ready to assemble.
Noticed one was brown rather than black. Picking it up found it was covered in horrible brown rusty dust, which has stained the carpet.
Cleaned off the brown and started the assembly following the instructions. After 30 mins carefully following the instructions concluded that this was impossible. No way could the 'centre' square section be fitted.
Took a more sensible approach fixing, loosely, each leg to the table and then the corresponding bolt to the centre.
This took two of us another 30 minutes, as the bolts had sharp edges and the holes poorly tapped a fiddly to fit.
Eventually managed to assemble it but were extremely concerned that 'fully' tightening the bolts could well cause strain
on the glass causing stress to crack it. (there is no 'give' in the metalwork).
Finally fitted the feet, but one tapped hole was so badly cut that the foot would not easily screw it.
Fortunately I have a tap and die set so could re-cut the thread.
Conclusions:
Looks nice, but poorly made. The assembly instructions clearly not written by someone who actually tried to do it.
... now need to have the carpet cleaned. (see photo)
