Finished item is as described and fit for purpose - I like it, but assembly was a complete nightmare. 4 dowels didnt line up with their holes, the bottom, shelf and top weren't cut square and couldnt be positioned without stick out front or back, each by different amounts and stopping either the door from closing or from the back panel fitting. I spent the first day assembling to see what couldnt fit, then the second with a power tool jig saw cutting the panels to the right size to fit, which they did, eventually. Also the holes for screws were too narrow which meant screwing one piece to another kept pushing the panels apart rather than pulling them together, I had to use carpenters clamps doubled up to hold some of the pieces together without a gap. Also, a relatively minor niggle on a £165 kit, but the top and bottom side trim pieces project past the front trim which means its impossible to screw them flush, it turned out not to be a deal breaker as these gaps are covered by additional front trim, but it did raise an eyebrow when i realised that was part of the design. Maybe I was just unlucky or maybe Im just no good at self assembly, either way its a shame as the finished article is really nice especially for the price.
