Thomason 49 cm H Velvet Side Chair (Set of 2)

Nice velvety fabric. Easy to assemble.

Colour is lovely. They look amazing in my dining.

Really lovely chairs but a truly baffling shopping experience. I wanted four chairs in total so ordered two sets in blue, but when my order arrived I saw they had sent one set in grey by mistake. Oh well, I thought, it wasn't quite what I was after but at least the colours go together so I can probably make it work, and at least this way I'll definitely have chairs in time for Christmas. So I logged onto my account and selected the option for a partial refund while keeping the item. I then got an email telling me I was being sent a replacement but could still keep the incorrect item. Result, I thought, six chairs for the price of four, hows that for good service? I set about putting together the chairs I had already received and found that while the grey set went together no problem, the blue set had the holes drilled in the wrong place so couldn't be constructed. What are the chances? I thought, Now I have to report the other half of the same order. I logged onto my account which is when I saw the expected delivery date of the replacement chairs - July 2021! At this point I wasn't even mad, just completely baffled by the whole thing. I reported the issue with the other set of chairs and asked if there was any way I could receive the replacement sooner than seven months in the future. I received a very nice, very prompt response apologising, telling me that the chairs were out of stock until July and giving me a refund for the faulty set. A few hours later I received another email notifying me that my replacement chairs had been dispatched and would arrive in a week! I have now received what appears to be two blue chairs, so alls well that ends well. In short, the chairs are great value, look very nice and are incredibly comfortable. I would recommend, just strap yourself in for some hilarious shenanigans if you decide to order a set. Be nice to any staff members you end up contacting though, I really can't fault the customer service I received, and considering how confusing the whole thing ended up being they did everything they could to sort it out quickly.
