Adjustable Metal Base Standing Desk Converter

Very sturdy and does the job perfectly.

For those of us who have found ourselves working from home for extended periods of time at an ordinary table with a laptop, this standing desk to is a real help. Pros - solidly built and very stable in use. No danger of your laptop falling off - although compact it is a good width with plenty of room for a second screen, mouse, coffee, etc. - infinite adjustment. The desk is held at the desired height by a gas strut and operates in the same way as an adjustable height office chair. Cons - it cannot really be used in the lowered position as it is a minimum of 6cm tall making it uncomfortably high on a normal desk or table, but it is easy enough to just to lift it off when you want work sitting down - when stored on its side it has a tendency for sag open several cm, but a belt or piece of string holds it closed easily I have been using it for about half the day consistently for the last couple of weeks and have experienced a great improvement in my general comfort and productivity. It has been excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delightful. Does what it says on the tin. Delivery was fast. However, few month down the line the screws are coming loose. Product quite sturdy. Helps me with Wfh and sitting less in front of my laptop. I'd recommend this any day if you have a lower back issue.

Very heavy but well made, feels sturdy and does the job

There is a huge variation in price for desks like this. This one does do the job but is at the cheaper end - and it does show as the item is a little clunky. I had to order a replacement within a week of ordering this as the handle to adjust the height stopped working. Although Wayfair have a very easy process for sending replacements, it was still inconvenient and it looks like a relatively simple mechanism that shouldn't break so easily. For a cheaper option (compared to lots of other similar items) this does the job, but it does not operate very smoothly and if you want something that you will use regularly and will stand the test of time, I'm not sure this is the best option.
