These are sturdy and made from a lovely good quality wood - the only issue would be that the depth of some of the shelves is not even enough to stand a book up in.

Looks good in our hallway. Takes paperback books easily.

Picture make the bookcase seem a lot bigger than it actually is but i knew that from messurements before hand. Well made & just what i needed.
