This bookcase is disappointing in two respects. Firstly, the colour is a much darker almost matt-finish brown than the website photos suggest. Secondly, it is rather flimsy, being made out of lightweight timber and plywood. In order to make it more solid, I glued all the joints and used additional panel pins to secure the back panels; the number supplied was insufficient. Overall, it is more expensive than its build and finish justifies.

On opening the box to put together my thoughts were cheap pine wood stained and not worth the money, and was damaged in two places on top off bookshelves. They look great and sturdy online but that’s not the case.
