This was super easy to assemble on my own. It only took 10 minutes. The seat is very well padded. The only downside is that it is ever so slightly too high at it's lowest setting for our dining table to be comfortable for an adult but it fits away neatly underneath when we arent using it as a spare stool for the breakfast bar.
