When selecting a bed guard it is important to leave a gap of 25cm between each end of the bed and corresponding end of bed rail, as well as ensure the top of the bed guard will protrude at least 16cm from the top of the mattress. The bed guard features a fold down mechanism which allows parents easy access to their child, and an easy way to lift a sleeping child into bed.
