This was an utter nightmare to assemble. The holes didn't line up and needed drilling. The shelves are not wood. They may be wood inside but the outside is a plastic type covering. It was wonky when put up but again we were able to fix it. If we hadn't drilled holes in I would have sent it back.

Ordered this after seeing the pictures in the reviews. It turned out to be much lighter in colour than I expected, I possibly may have been sent the wrong colour shelves. I was thinking of getting a replacement but I decided to keep it as it seemed to go well with the rest of my room. The bookcase took around 2 hours to build and is very heavy and solid. Given 4 stars as it wasn't as dark as the pictures made it out to be, other than that no faults.

Received the shelve and it’s a completely different colour of wood. Also not real wood, but (probably) plywood in vinyl textured and printed wrapping. Disappointing, but at the discounted price point guess I’ll just live with it. Otherwise seems sturdy.
