The metal frames didn't fit together properly, meaning there wasn't a flush connection with the wood and some of the screws couldn't get enough purchase to secure them. The screws that did get purchase came through the wood! There was also very sharp edges to the metal pieces. All credit to Wayfair's customer service though who have been very kind and quick to resolve, so that's been great.
