The Somerset Bed frame is made from solid Brazilian pine that has been reliably sourced. The simple slatted head-end and high foot-end create a lovely-looking bed frame. It is finished in a rustic waxed color that will complement any decor. Kiln-dried solid pine slats make for a very sturdy bed. 4FT, 4FT6, and 5FT have a center support running from head to foot and also center feet. The look can be completed by adding the Under-bed drawers that will fit under any size of the bed frame to add extra storage or the Trundle bed that will fit under the 3FT only and will add an essential extra bed.

Happy with the bedframe BUT only after the assembly problem was resolved. I had to phone the guys to come back as the top of both the footboard and headboard were loose. Photo 1 loose part, Photo 2 secured. There is NO inclusion in the instructions to ensure the bed is secure and because there was no instruction to manage this issue, they took photos and left. I was being left with a bed which was insecure. Not good for Wayfair's reputation. At the point of ordering, I had chatted to an agent about the delivery cost which more or less doubled the price of the bed. Had this not occurred the review would have been 5 stars.. Elizabeth. Actually really easy to put together - it took me longer to disassemble the bed it was replacing. Bought the full-size for my tween and it's a very solid, attractive style that would have cost a lot more somewhere else. Overall happy with the purchase, looks great and is extremely practical for having a n extra bed in a small space. One thing I would be wary of is that it’s quite tricky to assemble and you need to make sure you are able to attach well to a wall (at the very least to the studs). The instructions for assembly aren’t very clear when it comes to installing the mechanisms and springs. Also the delivery wasn’t great - the company delivered later than the expected date and refused to bring the boxes up one flight of stairs in the apartment building. I appreciate the current COVID restrictions, however leaving it in the hallway on the first floor is not much different to leaving it in the hallway on the ground floor w.r.t entering the building. (Which and thick and soiled) Lost or binned the institution, THIS WAS THE EASIEST thing iv ever put together (on my own) it does advices 2 person which would have been helpful. White Matt, Double (4'6)

Happy with the finished product although construction is not for the faint-hearted. It says it requires three people to assemble it however I managed 95% of it on my own and with a bit of planning, a second person is useful when it comes to manouvering the two halves around the room. I managed to construct the double bed version entirely in a room which is only 13ft by 8ft. The hardest part is following the instructions, they are not particularly clear in places and the "magnified" bits could do with being 2x larger. One step is particularly baffling where it expects you to screw a large nut in at either side but doesn't explain that you do it from the opposite side (well I did anyway because it was impossible to do it any other way). Some of the wooden holes didn't line up perfectly with the metal frame so I had to enlarge them slightly with a drill. Also some of the screws are already screwed into the pieces rather than being in the bags so you can be hunting around for things which are hiding in plain sight. Once constructed and in place the bed feels solid, the mechanism works well, in fact the springs are so powerful that until you get the bed flat it feels like it would catapult shut if you get go of it! The straps which hold the mattress in place seem like a bit of an afterthought, there are no pre-drilled holes to fix them in place and you just basically screw them to the wood, it'd look nicer using steel screw cup washers..
