The product itself is okay, solid wood although feels quite flimsy. We chose white because we knew we would be painting the furniture regardless but this is a whitewash finish which is not great, unless that's what you're after of course. It is self-assembly which is pretty standard these days but these are a nightmare to build, the instructions are appalling and it takes at least 3 hours to build each unit (x 3) even for someone who is very adept at this. I bought these shelves really excited for how they would look in my space. I was put off from paying the £70! Fee to assemble the shelves as if you are selling a product that can be assembled, an able bodied person should be able to assemble it. It also was not very good that the assembly could not be done on the day the shelves arrived meaning I would have to take additional time off work to wait for someone to arrive to do a job that YOU are saying can be done by by myself. The first issue was the instructions. While the diagram was labelled, none of the pieces were which meant it they were not easily identifiable. The pictures were often too small to see which way round a bracket should be attached and some of the pictures were blurry and no help at all. Also, many of the pre drilled holes weren’t straight making it harder to line pieces up and attach cleanly. After assembling the frame, which took two people, we moved on to tacking the back. I don’t know whether the tacks were blunt or too big but having assembled many pieces over the years, I can say this was the worst experience I have ever had. Many of the tacks took significant force, some split the wood as they went in, and no matter how careful I was, some ended up showing on the other side, which I was not able to see until I had finished and then had to remove leaving holes. Many of the tacks are still not flush as they just would not go in any further. I am sure that if the tacks had been more suitable for the job this would not have happened. Tacking across horizontal support bars was virtually impossible even hammering as forcefully as I was comfortable doing. The back is so thin I was afraid I would break it. Finally the doors, again the picture was blurry with no written instructions and i had to Google how to do it in the end. After several attempts I eventually gave up. Considering the price of the items, I do not expect to be paying for shoddy accessories, and pieces that do not assemble well. I will never buy from wayfair again.. Anonymous. Sat Jun 06 2026

Great products but I had a very difficult time with ordering this product. The customer service agents were amazing, however, some of Wayfair’s internal systems need work when it comes to making efficient returns and re-orders. I had to receive the items which were in multiple boxes (unmarked) then had to open everything to decipher what I should be returning. Upon returning I had followed instructions leaving the items outside, and the delivery guys were constantly trying to grab my attention when on a business call, interrupting my business, even though I had already provided everything needed. Their system also went down when trying to reorder through my debit card, resulting in the need to use PayPal, then my order got put on hold for no apparent reason! Upon redelivery, they left items outside the door on the floor in the heavy rain, which were soaked upon receiving them, when they could have simply laid them against the house under the protection of my roof. The final icing on the cake is that Wayfair wanted to charge me to return the items even though I hadn’t received them yet and had made it clear I don’t want them delivered. For the price of these bookcases, I expected much better quality. When I attached the front trims to the cupboards, they split and required repair. We cannot wait to unbox our new library shelves. We had an excellent delivery team too! We have had a great experience overall for the fourth time with Wayfair. We have now unboxed our Crispa Library bookcase and we are absolutely delighted with our purchase. In fact the photos on Wayfair don't do justice to that actual cabinetry. The colouring on the photos looks a little hit and miss but in reality the whole cabinet colour is cohesive and blends and matches so well indeed. We are now awaiting delivery of our matching 1m wide Corkum cabinet which will be placed in a recess in our newly designed library and I must say we just cannot wait! We would like to thank the Romania manufacturers of our cabinets too. We realise that there might be a language barrier but would hope that Wayfair can express our gratitude for excellent build quality to our Romania manufacturer! Extremely disappointed. I've had items from Wayfair before. They were good quality. This looks and feels cheap, nasty, similar to balsa wood. Some of the dowel holes do not align. There are no prefilled holes for joining the units together, even though it was sold as a unit. There are gaps in places. Spots of the fake wood effect paint are missing, showing pale wood beneath. Tolles Bücherregal. Es kam super verpackt an (viel Styropor und Pappe) Die Maße stimmen leider nicht . Der Korpus ist 4m breit, aber der Kranz steht zu beiden Seiten noch 7cm über. Damit hat das Regal eine Breite von 4,14m. Hat bei uns dann Gott sei Dank saugend reingepasst. Leider waren auch nicht genügend Schrankverbinder dabei. Und im unteren Teil sind die Einlegeböden nicht variabel. Ordner passen von der Höhe her nicht hinein. Aber wenn man die Einlegeböden raus nimmt, dann ist genug Platz.
