Modern country house range

Initially, I was delighted to see that the price had been cut for the dresser on the Wayfair website from £1999.99 to £934. However, I was horrified to see that for almost £1000, it was self assembly. I really dont expect to pay £1,000 pounds and then have to put the furniture together myself thats the first problem. It is beautiful however and looks very expensive once assembled. It was packaged extraordinarily well and there was absolutely no damage to any of the parts. I had to hire an assembly company who charged me just £80 to put it together. It took the guy 3 12 hours however and he estimated two hours. None of the screws are labelled but he seemed to find everything pretty straightforward. There are 29 pages of instructions which scared me to death, hence hiring the assembly company. Im slightly concerned at the piece of MDF thats visible at the bottom see photograph 4. Thinking about it, Im sure its part of the design. I love this dresser and it looks amazing in my dining room. This is pretty good quality for the price. Its sturdy enough and it looks good. It took 2 of us nearly 3 hours to build just because there were so many part and screws etc but it was all pretty straight forward Everything was there and no damage.. Anonymous. Thu Jun 26 2025
