It appears to pretty strong metal. Assembling was easy. However manual instructions not detailed and no instructions on how to attach the tv to the two panels which attach to the stand. Luckily the panels that attached my tv to the wall previously can hook into the stand but it doesn’t appear to be too safe, so I’m taking my chances, until I go to the hardware store and ask the guys there how to go about it and what screws to use because there’s a bunch of holes behind the tv and I have a bunch of leftover screws not knowing where it goes. This thing is a nightmare to construct. It took my partner and I three days, two trips to B&Q, a rebuild and countless fights to construct this. If I'd not had guests coming over and needed a TV unit so badly, I would have sent this back. All that said, it is a lovely looking unit. I received countless compliments on it from my guests. There are bits where the veneer had clearly peeled away, but those bits are not visible and - given the effort it took to build - we weren't about to return it. This stand looks amazing when assembled, I've got my soundbar on the top shelf and PlayStation on the bottom. There are some cable tidies which you screw into the back to keep your cables organised. You can have your Tv at a few different heights to suit and once assembled your able to swivel Tv from side to side, which is handy depending where you sitting.
