I wanted a pub table for my patio that wouldn't look like the typical ones for sale. I like this Fortuna table because the top is made of real wood. In fact the wood grain is raised and very pronounced. It's beautiful! It was really easy and quick to assemble. I purposely ordered some chairs in robin's egg blue so the look wasn't so matchy-matchy. Finished ash wood is strong and hardwearing, but untreated ash wood can show a lot of movement and yellow quickly. Sanded ash gives a neat, smooth appearance. Brushed ash has more character and band sawn ash wood has a very robust and rough look.
