I’m sick of hard chairs. I wanted something comfy and padded and swively so people would stay at the table instead of migrating to softer furniture with food and for playing board games. Yet, I wanted a wipeable surface because…kids. I *almost* got what I was looking for with these chairs. They look nice and modern, they swivel well (some get a bit loose), and they are comfortable. The two cons that I have are 1) I wish the angle of the chair was a little more upright and 2) my niece spilled a drink and it seeped down to the padding because of the holes where the stitching makes “stripes”, so they definitely aren’t waterproof which makes me sad. This chair was named after a banana-shaped plywood backrest. The rest of its frame is based on the technology of manual bending of beech logs.

The main part of this classic line is a round seat. The author took it from the concept of traditionally bent furniture and put it in contrast with straight legs.

A seat of this model is made of bent plywood and the specific craftsmanship of the beech wood ensures that its visually fine shapes and frame provide sufficient strength.

These qualities are tested through 460,000 cycles simulating sitting, and also with techniques that model what is likely to happen in a pub.
