Comes as built in box . We just need to join together and few screw and logics as there was no manual book to it. The quality is good and study is ok. Without the mattress it could be bit flimsy . Delivery for this bed was a pain. Wayfair kept stating one date, then it changed via email, no problems but I was then contacted by a delivery company to say bed is on its way in an hour!!! (one week before emailed date) Wayfair said that they would contact before hand to arrange a delivery day/time and if not convenient we could change, when bed arrived we was just leaving for the airport to go on holiday!! Also it was a deliver to room service and man refused and left in garage - would not come inside. Bed itself is nice, and looks good.
