Love the design of this chair! The 25" height, the width of the seat and back are perfect! You will need a phillips screw driver and a hex key screw driver for better control when assembling chairs. Took me about 35 minutes each chair to assemble. Also I recommend purchasing chair leg caps to protect your floors as the wooden legs will sit directly on the floor and will wear down with regular use. I am currently redecorating my family room and kitchen. The black did not work with my design. No problem. repainted the chairs a copper brown. Uses 1 can of spray paint for each chair. I reapholstered the seats in fabric heritage house windsong pattern to match my window valances and receive nothing but compliments! Posted pictures of the before and after. I’m actually very happy with this purchase. They fit beautifully into my decor and are very comfortable. Assembly was not bad, I did need a little help holding the legs straight while they were being tightened and the directions weren’t the most clear, but I was able to figure it out and it wasn’t too bad- about 45 mins for the two. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that one of the chairs legs is a little shorter and it makes the chair rock. I put an extra felt pad on it and it seems fine now.. Juliane. Beautiful chairs. I specifically was looking for a nice dark wood chair that would tie our new grey floor to our old brown marble table b/c we love our table and didn't want to get rid of it. These were perfect! I would caution to have a friend available to help you put them together. Because they are commercially rated and can handle a lot of weight - I found that the places you would need to screw things together were difficult and kind of a pain to get to. But it made me realize these chairs are going to be durable. My husband and I worked together - me holding and him putting in screws and getting them tightened and it made things a lot easier.
