It is finished off with black metal fittings which give the item its distinctive Mexican styling and offers that warm rustic country charm. The item has hardboard backs and drawer bases, its delivered flat packed for easy home assembly with step-by-step instructions.

The overall look of the unit is good, though a little awkward on the sequence for construction with the drawer rails difficult to fit after putting the frame together. The worst part is actually the tolerances in construction, with 0.5 mm mis alignment in the frame. However, most of the drawers are badly made with only one fitting together without a problem. The others end up with excess wood sticking out and stopping the drawers from sliding in to the unit. Measurement shows up to 2mm difference in the recesses also some of the pre drilled holes for the drawer sides are not in line and the screws fail to go in the required direction, just catching the edge of the wood causing it to split. To complete building this will require remedial extra work to make the required adjustments. If you are not up to the required wood work please do not buy, you will just be frustrated by the result. A changing table that still earns its place once the nappies stop. Four drawers down one side take nappies, wipes and muslins where you can reach them one-handed; a double-door cupboard on the other swallows the bulk — towels, blankets, spare clothes. The top is built for the job rather than improvised: raised borders on every edge stop a fresh nappy rolling onto the floor, and a central divider splits the surface into a changing zone and a staging zone for the kit. It is solid New Zealand pine — finger-jointed 15mm and 12mm boards, not veneer over chipboard — finished naturally with rounded corners and recessed handles that nothing catches on. At 100cm high you change your baby standing, and at 118cm wide it fits a nursery wall without dominating it. One person can assemble it in about an hour.
