The outer faux leather layer started wearing away at about the 5 year mark and it's in a bad state now so looking for an upgrade. It's also lost the cushioning and is creaky. Considering the price, I still rate this 5 stars for an entry level recliner, it's been brilliant to sink into every evening. Just don't expect to get more than about 5 years life out of it. Love this chair. So comfortable. Was a bit of a nightmare putting it together as photos were in black white and impossible to see. I took it apart a few times and started again. Ended up with 2 bolts left so left it overnight to think about it. Clear head and I realised where they should have went. Once I got it sorted I was so pleased with it.A great l. Brenda. Lisburn, GB.
