White/Brown

This classic wardrobe, featuring a French design, offers ample storage space to keep your clothes, shoes and accessories neatly organised.

Unfortunately we would not recommend this product. The instructions are very misleading. They claim that the wardrobe will take 1 hour to construct if 2 people are working on it. It took us 2 days (5-6 hours each day). We are no strangers to flat pack however this was on a different level. The wardrobe was delivered in 3 boxes, each with many parts, none of which were labelled. With over 50 different parts, it was near impossible to determine which piece was which. Then came construction. However, piece 1 (a large side section of the wardrobe) was around 1 cm larger than piece 2. Therefore they did not marry up where the dowels were. We contacted Wayfair who put us in touch with the manufacturer. They were unable to send us a spare part so offered us a discount instead to keep the faulty product. We had to cut the wood down and drill new dowel holes. We did not know then, that this would be the first of many ‘fixes’ we had to make to this faulty product. Several pre-drilled holes were in the wrong places or did not exist, leaving us to guess where shelves were supposed to be placed. Now we have finally constructed the wardrobe, we are unhappy with the overall finish. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Absolutely rubbish. Over all Quality is the lowest I have ever seen. Chip board is loose, veneer is thin and completely plastic it looks awful. Grooves (that backs slot into) aren’t cut properly. And The holes that wooden pins go into aren’t drilled properly because of this they are causing damage to exterior . (See photo) and nothing Sits properly. we are very experienced in building flat furniture but this is by far THE WORST design ever. I have no doubt the drawers will give way in no time… they way they are structured is completely wrong. on top of all this delivery was delayed by around 3 weeks. There were supposed to be 4 pieces under the delivery note, we received several boxes instead. It was impossible to tell if anything was missing. Luckily there doesn’t seem to be anything major missing but it was impossible to tell at delivery. Even the hardware came with several faulty bits (see photo) I’d love to just give it back, and get my money back. It’s absolutely rubbish. I’m looking into return option but we’ve already built the drawers no idea where to go from here. I’m gutted. We love this wardrobe for its simple Chinese style and solid construction, offering very impressive bedroom storage. Its simple design means that it still looks right up to date, while a large brass lock plate gives it that unmistakable Ming style. Although the Chinese did not hang their clothes vertically, this type of square-cornered cabinet was common in the north of the country and would have contained shelves and drawers. We've adapted the original interior to suit today's needs by including a wooden rail and three removable shelves, so it can be used either for hanging clothes or as a cupboard. Made of solid reclaimed elm and with two useful drawers at the bottom. Due to its size and weight, the wardrobe will be made in two sections for easier maneuverability.
