once built they are nice and firm, and comfortable but had to take myself off to another room and calm down after a hour of trying to build one as instructions are not wonderfully clear on legs section so had to take apart and re do a number of times - 2nd one went up in no time. I like the modern look of this chair, and the color pattern matched with our flooring. The chair comes pre assembled so the box was quite large and heavy.
