A fine-looking chest of drawers and every bit is wood. Capacity of drawers is excellent, deep and wide. Two issues, however. The dowel rods are flimsy. Three of them broke during assembly. Why not add a pound or two to the price and supply metal dowel rods? And the instructions are less than clear - they don't explain where the painted bits or the plain wooden bits should go! Nice sturdy piece of furniture. Looks good. Only minor hiccups were the decorative panels around the bottom were warped slightly so screwing them in was tricky and the screws broke inside the wood. Nice roomy chest of drawers. Had a bit of trouble putting one of the drawers together as the base was a bad fit and the holes for the skirting on the front were at a 90° angle to the ones on the side so the screws wouldn't go through but on the whole good value for money.. Perfect chest of drawers for our nursery, love the colour and the real wooden top to it. The instructions were pretty straightforward to follow, but some of the parts were labelled incorrectly. I was going to give this a 3 but decided it was between 3 and 4. Looks good when finished but the quality of the materials and engineering are a little poor. Some guide holes didn't match up. I gave the wooden top a couple of coats of varnish and looks much better. Tips for assembly - 2 people needed when assembling the carcass.
