I would probably have gone for a honey coloured pine if one had been available but the one thing I have worked out is that pine is not popular anymore and I wanted something to go with furniture I bought back in 2002. If I could have found something preassemled I would have but this was the best I could do under the circumstances. It is solid wood and a good price for what it is. It is also fairly easy to assemble. I am quite pleased with it now it’s up, but I was cursing in the middle of building it because some of the screws are at bit of an odd angle. I love this wardrobe. However, I’m using as a utility cupboard. I just didn’t add the hanging rail. It stores both my upright Dyson vacuum and my steam mop. The packaging was dreadful opened and torn, but nothing was missing. The wardrobes themselves are fantastic value for money, no plywood, all proper solid wood.
