The Somerset Bed frame is made from solid Brazilian pine that has been reliably sourced. The simple slatted head-end and high foot-end create a lovely-looking bed frame. It is finished in a rustic waxed color that will complement any decor. Kiln-dried solid pine slats make for a very sturdy bed. 4FT, 4FT6, and 5FT have a center support running from head to foot and also center feet. The look can be completed by adding the Under-bed drawers that will fit under any size of the bed frame to add extra storage or the Trundle bed that will fit under the 3FT only and will add an essential extra bed.

Do not buy. It is a terrible quality bed. I ended up taking the parts to the recycling centre after partially making it. It came with so many smaller pieces that did not align properly. The white laminate chips. The joins don’t line up. You are also expected to line up the internal wooden baton edging to hold the mattress on the outside frame yourself. I wasted £140 on this. The bed frame is built to last for many years of good dreams from solid wood, and the open-slatted headboard and footboard combined with the clean oak or white finish give it a spacious and welcoming appeal. A mattress is not included.

Delivery was on time; bed appears solid, well made and of good colour. Went together fairly easily, however each side of the bed had no pilot holes where the central middle metal bar was supposed to be attached. The bed is beautiful and decent quality. It does creak and squeak when tossing and turning. After reading other reviews about the screws coming out we decided to use locktite. This was actually the third bed that was sent to me. The first one was damaged in shipment (never delivered) and the second one didn’t come with hardware. We contacted the manufacturer of the bed they didn’t have any hardware in stock. Wayfair customer service was very lovely and sent a new bed frame.
