Handmade in India you will see marks of where the artisan had built this piece, pinheads are common, and you may seesaw and chisel marks also the different grains and naturally occurring shakes in the wood make this truly unique. I like the bench. It will help us get more people round our table at Christmas. Also like the slight curve which I missed in the advert. A couple of challenges putting it together. Of the 12 holes for the screws 2 were missing - well they were hidden under the lining cloth and I had to hunt for them. The other one had a piece of wood covering it and I had to dig away at it to free up the hole.
