The white is a bright, semi-glossy white with silver metallic at the base of each leg. The seat is larger than I imagined, made of metal and has a great crackled silver leaf finish. Very nice and sturdy chairs! Easy and simple to build as well. They look very modern, yet cozy and really brought our kitchen and living room together because our new couch matches the material these chairs are.
