Absolutely lovely and sturdy chairs which were purchased to be used for homeschooling in my daughters study. They are the perfect height to be used with a writingoffice desk. (The desk pictured above is also from Wayfair). The cushioned part of the chairs is firm to medium hard and the paint is the perfect white. Another plus is the fact that the padded part is cat proof. The back of the chair against our clothes has a rough finish and has even gotten stuck to sweaters and shirts. One chair came with a noticeable scratch into the face of the wood (we colored matched with a sharpie as not worth returning). These are nice chairs for what they cost and they are easy to assemble. They look to be more expensive than they are and they are comfortable. More like 4.5 stars. Looks nice in person. But.... 2 pieces had small nice size wood chip deficiencies. Luckily in places you cant see it. Had to Gorilla glue it on.
